SCENE

A little past noon in a quiet room, still undecided whether to head out. I pick up the T-shirt draped over the back of the chair. Slightly relaxed fabric, and a faint graphic still hovering across the chest. I do not have anything I need to say strongly. But there are days when a plain tee feels a little too plain. The print resting on a white T-shirt is like a scene from a film I saw long ago — impossible to recall exactly, yet somehow it stays. Some days I pair it with denim, others with a skirt, and sometimes I hide it under a shirt. A little ambiguous, a little vintage. That ambiguity is exactly right for today.

昼すぎの部屋に、まだ出かけるかどうか決めていない時間がある。
椅子の背にかけていたTシャツを手に取る。
少し力の抜けた生地と、胸元にぼんやり残るグラフィック。
何かを強く言いたいわけじゃない。
けれど、無地では少し物足りない日がある。

白いTシャツの上に落ちたプリントは、昔見た映画のワンシーンみたいに、はっきり思い出せないまま、なぜか残っている。

デニムに合わせる日も、スカートに合わせる日も、シャツの中に隠す日もある。

どこか曖昧で、少しだけ古い。
